Golden Gate Point
Located just off North Gulfstream Avenue just before the John Ringling Causeway to the west of downtown Sarasota, Golden Gate Point is a 22 acre peninsular that has recently undergone a major streetscape improvement. Beautiful palm trees line paved streets winding around the peninsular. It’s iconic history dates back to the 1920s when it was owned by the circus magnate John Ringling. At that time, this waterfront community was known as Cedar Point.
Golden Gate Point’s popularity boomed in the 1990’s as condominiums such as Alta Mer, The Phoenix and Golden Bay were built. In recent years, luxury building such as Vista Bay Point, Grand Riviera, Majestic Bay, La Bellasara and Grande Riviera were completed.
Golden Gate Point residents enjoy easy access to downtown Sarasota’s amenities as well as proximity to downtown restaurants, galleries, specialty shops, spas and salons. In addition, world-famous St. Armands Circle is only a few minutes away.
